Based in Auckland, John Walsh is currently the NZIA Communications Manager and was formerly the managing editor
of Architecture New Zealand, Urbis and Landscape Architecture NZ. Walsh is also a journalist, sat on design juries
and author of three books on residential architecture in New Zealand.

[ Kebbell Daish / Wellington & Victoria University / Wellington ]
Based in Wellington, Sam Kebbell is a lecturer in architecture at Victoria University and the director of Kebbell
Daish Architects. While recently realising Harte House [ Great Barrier Island 2008- ], Courtyard House [ Wellington
2009 ] and Humbug House [ Shoreham 2009 ], Kebbell is also currently enrolled in the invitational Royal Melbourne
Institute of Technology PhD by Practice programme.

Tokyo-based Tsukamoto and Kaijima are as well known for their research and books on urban conditions as of course
their architecture but these endeavours are very closely linked. Their The Architectures of Atelier Bow-Wow:
Behaviorology concerns itself with Tokyo’s hybrid urban conditions and this was followed by Made in Tokyo and Pet
Architecture Guide Book as well as a string of well known houses and public spaces: most recently BMW Guggenheim
Labs in New York, Berlin and Mumbai.

Justin and Louise Wright’s Assembly Architects are specialists in fabrication and especially prefabrication winning a
2013 New Zealand Institute of Architecture Award for the Zoo Hub at Wellington Zoo, as well as other recent awards
for collaborative projects with Cheshire Architects [ Britomart Showcases ] and Dunning Thornton [ Elam Halls of
Residence, University of Auckland ].
