DISPLAY: ARCHITECTURE + GENDER

DISPLAY: ARCHITECTURE + GENDER

Emma Morris

This project looks at exhibition design and its many possibilities and variations, culminating
in an installation or built component, to indicate display theory and construction approach.
The end product must be a spatial proposition, and arguably ‘inhabitable’.
The project has a real site – Shed 10 on Queen’s Wharf, Waterfront Auckland,
It has a real client – Architecture+Women•NZ (www.architecturewomen.org.nz),
and it is a real exhibition event. It is intended that some or all of the design details and
installations will be used in the A+W•NZ exhibition event, which opens on Suffrage
Anniversary Day, 19th September 2013.
