Sarosh Mulla is an Auckland based designer working across academic design research, professional practice and experimental architecture. He is a graduate of The University of Auckland and in 2011 he was selected as one of the top twenty four architectural graduates in the world. That same year he exhibited his graduating project at Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.

Mulla has recently returned to undertake a PhD with a creative practice component. His research is performed through live architectural projects that look at the delivery of highly specific architectural and landscape spaces for the New Zealand tourism industry.

Mulla’s professional work has been widely awarded by the New Zealand institute of Architects and the Designers Institute of New Zealand. In 2012 his project with Salmond Reed Architects for a reassembled missionary chapel at St. Matthews in-the-City won NZIA Local and National Awards, a DINZ Gold Best Design Award and Interior Civic and Supreme Awards.

Mulla is also a founding member of experimental design collective OH.NO.SUMO. With the young collective, his work has included national award-winning projects such as Cupcake Pavilion, Paper Sky and Stairway Cinema.
